Privacy policy of tuwego.com

Last updated: 20 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data the tuwego.com website processes, why, for how long, and what your rights are. The Tuwego app has its own privacy policy.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

The data controller is Adriana Guinicelli, Italy ("Tuwego", "we"). She is also the contact person for every privacy matter. For any question or request, write to [email protected].

2. In short

  • The site uses no Tuwego cookies, no visitor statistics and no social media pixels.
  • We only collect data if you sign up for "Tell me when it's out" or write to us through the contact form.
  • We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

3. "Tell me when it's out"

What we collect. Your email address and the city you live in (with region and country, if you pick it from the suggestions). We also record the language of the page you signed up from, the consent you gave with the version of its text, and the date and time of your sign-up. We do not collect your name or your location.

Why. To let you know when Tuwego is available. We only use your city in aggregate, counting how many people there are in each city, to decide where to launch Tuwego and where to promote it, never to send you targeted advertising. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

The welcome email. As soon as you sign up we send you an email confirming your sign-up. If you did not sign up yourself, you can unsubscribe straight away with the link in that email.

Which emails you receive. Only the welcome email and the one telling you that Tuwego has launched. Nothing else.

How to unsubscribe. Every email has an "Unsubscribe" link: opening it deletes your data completely. You can also write to [email protected].

How long. Until you unsubscribe, and in any case no longer than the moment we tell you that Tuwego is available where you live: from then, your data is deleted within 3 months. Either way, we never keep it for more than 24 months from your sign-up.

City suggestions. While you type your city, the text you type is sent to Photon, a service of komoot GmbH (Germany) based on OpenStreetMap, which suggests place names. Photon only receives the text of the field and your browser's IP address, never your email.

4. The contact form

What we collect. Your name, your email, your message and the consent you gave.

Why. To reply to you. The legal basis is your request.

What happens. Your message is saved among Tuwego's support requests and a copy reaches us at [email protected], from where we reply.

How long. Up to 12 months after our reply, then we delete it, unless we need it for longer to handle a dispute.

5. The anti-robot check

To protect the forms from spam we use Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare Inc., United States). It starts when you use a form and usually asks you nothing. To work, it processes your IP address and some technical data about your browser; we only receive the result of the check, and we do not store your IP address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the site from abuse.

6. Browsing the site

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes the IP address and technical browser data of visitors in order to show and protect the pages. We use no Tuwego cookies, we do not measure visits and we do not load social media content: the links to Instagram, TikTok and Facebook are plain links, and those platforms only receive data if you open them. The site's fonts are also served by the site itself.

7. Pages of shared events

Events created in the app have a page at tuwego.com/e/…, which anyone with the link can open: it shows the title, dates, city, category, cover photo and number of open proposals. It never shows people's names or the exact place, and it does not appear in search engine results.

8. Who sees your data

Sign-ups and messages are read only by Tuwego's administrator, from a restricted area protected by two separate log-ins, which records every view and export. A few providers help us, processing data only on our behalf:

  • Supabase (a company based in the United States, data stored in Sweden): stores sign-ups and messages;
  • Cloudflare (United States): hosts the site and runs the anti-robot check;
  • Resend (a company based in the United States, sending from Ireland): sends the emails;
  • Aruba (Italy): manages the [email protected] mailbox;
  • komoot, with its Photon service (Germany): suggests city names.

When data leaves the European Union, we use the safeguards provided by law, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

9. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you can ask us to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, receive it in a readable format, object to its use based on our legitimate interest, and withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before. Write to [email protected]: we reply free of charge within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or with the supervisory authority of your country.

10. If you live in the United States or Canada

No selling, no tracking. We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not track visitors over time or across other sites. That is why the "Do Not Track" signal of your browser does not change how the site handles your data.

Your rights in the United States. Depending on the state you live in, for example California, you can ask us to know what data we hold about you, to receive a copy, to correct it and to delete it, by writing to [email protected]. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Your rights in Canada. We handle your data in line with Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and, if you live in Quebec, with Law 25. You can ask us to access and correct your data and, in Quebec, to delete it. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

11. Age

Tuwego is only for people aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, please do not sign up and do not send us personal data.

12. Changes

If we change this policy in an important way, we will say so on this page by updating the date at the top and, if you are on the "Tell me when it's out" list, we will let you know by email.
